Beef and Turkey Stew

  • Cook the beef and turkey necks in a pressure cooker for three hours.  Make sure to follow your pressure cooker's instructions completely.  Pressure cooking will soften the bones enough to moosh up with the meat - no splinters - while maintaing most of the bone mineral count.
  • Meanwhile, boil squash and carrots in a lrge stock pot for 10 minutes.
  • Add beef liver and ground turkey and continue to boil until meat is cooked through.
  • Add spinach and green beans and cook until squash and green beans are soft.
  • Use a potato masher and mash all of the ingredients until thoroughly mixed- you might need to add more water if the mixture is not wet enough.  Let cool.
  • Place ingredients in the largest bowl you can find.  If you don't have a huge bowl like me, you might have to do the next steps in batches.
  • Put the rest of the ingredients in the cooled ground turkey and beef liver mix and blend thoroughly.
  • After the necks have cooled, mash the mones and meat with a potato masher as fine as possible.  You may need to pull everything apart with your hands.
  • Add the necks to the ground meat mixture and combine thoroughly.

I have a Labrador Retriever and a Husky and I feed them three cups of food each per day -  One cup dry in the morning and 1/2 cup dry mixed with 1 1/2 cups wet for dinner.  For dinner, I put the wet and dry mix (1 full serving each) in quart size freezer bags and freeze the food until needed.
For my cat, I fill up two 16 oz mason jars and store them in the refrigerator.  Then I freeze at least 3x quart sized bags filled with food and mark as "JoJo's Food".  Jojo gets free fed - we feed him every time he screams at us and as much as he can eat.

For Chicken, Turkey with Fish Stew, instead of using beef and turkey neck bones, I will  cook two whole fryer chickens (about 10 lbs total, skin off) in the pressure cooker for 2 1/2 hours.  Then I add the other ingredients.

  • 5 Lbs beef necks
  • 1/2 Lb beef liver
  • 5 Lbs turkey necks
  • 5 Lbs ground turkey
  • 1 med butternut squash peeled and seeded
  • Baby carrots (optional)
  • 10 oz frozen spinach
  • 12 oz frozen green beans
  • 1 Lb total sardines and/or slmon (optional)
  • or 1/2 cup fish oil
  • 3 Lrg garlic cloves (do not add garlic for cat food - if making dog and cat food at the same time, add the garlic after you have reserved the cat food to one side)
  • 2 cups juice pulp left over after juicing - make sure the pulp does not contain onions, grapes or too much citrus
  • 2 Tbsp concentrated chlorophyll - I like Herbs Etc. ChlorOxygen
  • 50 drops Grapefruit Seed extract
  • Optional- Digestive enzymes, Probiotics, Alfalfa, Multi-vitamins, olive leaf extract.........
